questions by our future generations

- Khwahish

When was the last time when we realized that we have stopped being humane? When was the time when we threw all our sensitivity in trash? When are we going to understand that we are arguing wrong issues at wrong time. We are suffering from a pandemic and still what we are doing is finding a Hindu Muslim angle. This is annoying that even in such difficult times we just can not stop being dumb. Why is the Muslim angle to this pandemic being raised again and again? When are we going to see them as just normal people and not as a religious identity? I condemn the act done by them but by 'them' I refer to those 'people' regardless of their religion. And if religion is such a passionate aspect then why are we not discussing the same actions carried out by Hindus? Where was this debate when Hindu Mahsabha organised the party. And why is the media exaggerating these topics? Is media's work to provide us with information or provide us with hatred?

When will we be finally open our eyes and stop being dummies? When are we going to behave like civilized people. None of the religion promotes either stone pelting or hatred towards the other people.

The role of police in the past few time has been disappointing at many circumstances and as individuals our angst towards wrong deeds is worth it but is this the right time and right way to rebel against them . Whatever happened , in today's scenario they are putting their lives on stake. Can't we just cooperate. If we would be sensitive this war against virus would have been much smoother.

It is not the time when we play the blame game. It is the time when we start re evaluating the importance of life. This time has made a lot of us value life more , as we miss our life. Its the time when we realize that we are more than privileged that we have roofs and food. While we all make new dishes everyday it is necessary to keep in mind that we are privileged because there are people out there who are struggling for a single meal.

People may die, communities may die, maybe we all do. But these questions are not going to be dead . These questions are going to be raised again and again by us by our future generations.

These questions themselves will rebel.

  1. Very reflective notes on what we are being as a society. It is actually our own insecurities since people in power play well with our animal instincts for survival. It is not hatred for other community or identity but some people have created a distinction between 'us' and the 'others'. Us being people as a homogeneous entity and posed others as invaders. I see fearlessness as the only remedy for all such struggles, but alas it takes a lot to be fearless. We have to become conscious and awake to be brave enough to live in harmony . Harmony not only with the other humans but with all forms of life and nature. Good writing, keep it up.
